Mobile phone technology is improving all of the time and as processing power and the standard of software improves, so does the quality of the cameras we see built into phones. Motorola Milestone XT720

On paper, this is a fantastic phone with 8 megapixels, a xenon flash that should theoretically outstrip any LED flash and auto focus. In reality though the phone falls just short of fantastic, merely being really, really good. Great contrast and colours on your photos make up for its shortcomings and it is definitely up there with the top camera phones at the moment.

Nokia N8

This phone is very much the King of the camera phone world, a marvellous 12 pixel offering from Nokia and with pretty much every feature you may want from a camera phone. Features such as the largest sensor of any phone which dramatically improves its performance in low light, a mechanical shutter that is fast enough to helps capture shots as they happen, a powerful Xenon flash and 28mm wide angle lens. Quite simply the best camera phone around.
